Teaching & Travel Schedule

The 2012 Student & Apprentice Program: In Autumn of 2012, a series of workshops and an Apprentice Program will begin in Middlebury, Vermont. Training will be individualized for each student.

The Student Program:
Who’s eligible? Adults of any age are welcome and techniques can be adapted for physical limitations. Mature children 13 years old and above may participate in most workshops. Beginners are welcome. Each student will meet with Barbara ahead of time to discuss your interests and objectives.

One year of part-time study includes everything you need to treat yourself and your family with energy work.

Techniques taught include gentle yet powerful laying-on-of-hands methods, and full-body techniques one can do for oneself or teach others to do, including children.

Training includes explanations of the science underlying energy medicine.

Courses will include Intro to Hands-on Healing, Therapeutic Touch, and beginning Reiki, along with additional courses chosen to meet the needs and interests of participants.

The Apprentice Program:
Professional training takes three years of part-time classes and includes:

  • in-depth study
  • a research project
  • clinical practice
  • teaching practice if your goals include teaching energy work

    At the conclusion you will be fully equipped for professional practice. This program includes all the classes Barbara teaches during the three years, additional instruction individualized for each person’s goals, and energy work from Barbara.

    Scheduling and time involvement: Dates and times will be arranged to accommodate the schedules of participants.
    Some options for the one year program:

  • one weekend a month
  • two consecutive Saturdays a month
  • two consecutive weekdays a month
  • one evening a week with additional time when needed for Reiki training.

    We can be creative in order to accommodate everyone.

    Apprenticeships usually require an average of 10 hours per week of training, not including individual study and practice. Meeting times include instruction, practice, observation, and/or discussion, some of which will be among apprentices only.

    Fees: These trainings are given on a love offering basis, which means that you determine your payment. A deposit will be asked for at the time of registration. Apprenticeships, unless by special arrangement, require a full three-year commitment.
